In summer and winter alike, our hotel is the ideal place for an unforgettable relaxing holiday for your body and mind. As your host, we are happy to provide you with our know-how so you can choose how you want to spend your time out. You can easily reach a number of idyllic locations on short walks or by bike.

In keeping with the holistic concept in our hotel, we are happy to advise you on appropriate treatments. For centuries, the valuable essential oils from the mountain pine moors have been appreciated for their healing and highly effective properties for skin and joint problems as well as physical diseases. You will also find a brochure on meditation paths in the hotel’s information and map material.

Blooming alpine meadows

Summer activities

You can enjoy walks through the soft green meadows even in spring. If you look closely, you will discover plenty of protected wild flowers such as gentian and lady’s slipper. We would be happy to tell you where you can find these special flowers. The Alpine Coaster on Kolbensattel Oberammergau (15 km) is a great family experience. The bike park that is also located there is a pleasure for downhill experts.

The crystal-clear lakes and open-air swimming pools in the area are an ideal place to swim and relax. Golfers can indulge their hobby at the “Gsteig” course in Lechbruck am See (24 km), Bernbeuren (29 km), Roßhaupten (33 km) and Oberau (23 km). Breath-taking views and challenges for every sporting level await you during Nordic walking. But that’s not all!

Snow, fun & nature

Winter activities

You can the reach the top of our local mountain, the Hörnle, by taking the cable railway. With around 6 km of runs, it is a small yet family-friendly ski resort. The ski tow on the Tannerbankerl is especially good for learning to ski. Cross-country skiers and tobogganists will enjoy the 4.5 km long toboggan run. Cross-country skiing is also especially rated among visitors to Bad Kohlgrub during the winter.
